CARAVAN RALLY

Saturday 16 June 2001

The Band were invited to provide entertainment at a rally of Royale Caravan Owners.   The rally was due to be held at Grimsthorpe Castle but was moved to Hagbeach Manor Whaplode due to the foot and mouth problem.

It was a rainy day, so the entertainment was moved to nearby Weston Village Hall. We performed pieces from our normal summer programme.  The band was received enthusiastically by the caravanners who were dancing in the aisle when the band played the Blues Brothers 'Everybody needs Somebody'.

It was the 30th anniversary of Royale Caravans.  The caravanners provided a birthday cake and the band played 'Happy Birthday'.
