CAROL PLAYING - DECEMBER 2001

1st December	Carol playing was cancelled due to bad weather
8th December	Played carols in Holbeach Town centre for two hours. It was cold and not many people around but we had a reasonable collection.
9th December	Played carols in Holbeach Town centre for two hours at the special Christmas Shopping Day. Again it was cold but there were a lot of people and it was a very enjoyable afternoon with plenty of entertainment for the visitors. Unfortunately the collection was rather poor.
10th December	Played carols at the Band's own Bingo night at the WI Hall in Holbeach. We played for about 20 minutes.
14th December	Played carols at a Bingo night at the WI Hall in Holbeach. We played for about 15 minutes.
19th December	We played outside Tesco store in Holbeach. The musical director was not available . Tesco very kindly gave us a cup of tea daring the evening .
21st December	We played again outside Tesco store. This time the musical director was with us but there was no free cup of tea!
22nd December	We played in Holbeach town centre . Unfortunately , only the few members of the band were able to perform due to work and other commitments . And it was very cold . We were given a drink by the Manager of Barclays Bank .
24th December	Christmas Eve and most of the band were able to join or in the carol playing . It was still quite cold but there was a very warm atmosphere .
