Rehearsals:

We rehearse every Wedensaday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at our band room in Back Lane Holbeach.

Learners:

We hold group learner classes on a Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 7.30pm. As learners progress they are encouraged to stay laetr to join the main band.

In addition, individual lessons are available by arrangement where we train learners in the ABRSM music grades and theory. Band members pay reduced rates for these individual lessons.

The learners who started in summer 2008 are making good progress and many of them have progressed to the main band..

Fundraising:

The Band's Bingo sessions have started again under new management. The new sessions are organised by Kim and Dennis and the first one was on Friday 20th August. It was a modest success. The next session will be on 24th September.

Thanks to the band's fundraisers Les and Brenda for all their hard work raising money for the band throughout 2009. They arranged monthly bingo sessions, weekly bric-a-brac stalls and regular table-top sales. At their Christmas bingo in December 2009, where the band provided incidental festive music, they presented the band with a cheque for £3,100 representing the proceeds of their fundraising during the year.
