| This vibrant and gifted quintet - four winds and a piano - launches our seventeenth season. Since its debut on
ORS Television (Austria) the Aurora Ensemble has promoted the wind quintet and its music as a serious and
wide-reaching chamber ensemble. In their concerts they aim to programme appealing and accessible repertoire as
well as presenting less familiar works. |
Their varied programme, demonstrating different combinations
of their instruments, culminates in Mozart's E flat major Quintet,
which Mozart himself described in 1784 as his 'best work'. | Programme Programme Notes Press Review |
