The Aurora Ensemble

This vibrant and gifted quintet - four winds and a piano - launches our seventeenth season. Since its debut on ORS Television (Austria) the Aurora Ensemble has promoted the wind quintet and its music as a serious and wide-reaching chamber ensemble. In their concerts they aim to programme appealing and accessible repertoire as well as presenting less familiar works.

Their varied programme, demonstrating different combinations of their instruments, culminates in Mozart's E flat major Quintet, which Mozart himself described in 1784 as his 'best work'.
