This is an exceptional opportunity to enjoy high-quality entertaining opera performed by a company renowned for its sparkling productions. Donizetti's tuneful romantic comedy about a battlefield foundling adopted by the grenadiers was revived with Joan Sutherland in the 60s and has been delighting audiences ever since with its combination of dramatic tension and musical verve, not to mention drumming, marching and a hilarious singing lesson scene.
