17 June - Holbeach Vintage Rally
7 July - RBL Concert at Bourne Abbey Four of our band went to Bourne to help the Royal British Legion Band (Lincolnshire) with their concert. They were also joined by players from the Kings Lynn band. 8 July - Normandy Veterens Rally This was a Service of Thanksgiving for the Normandy Veterans at the Anglia Motel, Holbeach where there was a vintage tractor and lorry rally and craft fair. Another early lunch as the Service started at 1.00pm, although there was a delay while they found the Minister and a Standard Bearer. We played the hymns Eventide and Jerusalem and sounded Last Post. We played on the back of a covered trailer - welcome shade from the sun. After the Service we played for half an hour then had a break. We had just started our second set when the organisers announced there would be a parade of vintage tractors and lorries which would take up the rest of the afternoon - so we packed up and had an early return home. 15 July - Springfields Retail Outlet Another pleasant Sunday afternoon at the Springfields Retail Outlet, Spalding. It started to drizzle as soon as we started playing, so we reformed under a cover. The weather soon improved and we finished before the dark clouds returned. Most of the time we had a passing crowd, but at one point we had a large and enthusiastic audience assemble, including many young children, so we played suitable music for the children. 19 August - RBL Peace Gardens, Spalding Two of our band went to play with the Royal British Legion Band (Lincolnshire) at a service in the Peace Garden at Ayscoughfee Gardens, Spalding to commemmorate a plaque for the Royal Anglian Regiment
